🏡 Vastu for Interiors: Do’s and Don’ts for Modern Homes

In India, Vastu Shastra has guided architecture and interiors for centuries. Even in today’s modern homes, following simple Vastu principles can bring harmony, positivity, and better energy flow. At Trygve Studio, we blend Vastu-friendly layouts with modern interior design so you don’t have to compromise on aesthetics or comfort.

✅ Do’s for Vastu-Compliant Interiors

1. Living Room Placement
   • Place your living room in the north or east direction for maximum positivity.
   • Use light colors like beige, white, or soft pastels to enhance peace.
2. Bedroom Interiors
   • Master bedroom should be in the southwest for stability.
   • Bed placement: Head towards south or east. Avoid mirrors opposite the bed.
3. Kitchen Design
   • Best location: southeast corner of the home.
   • Cooking should ideally face east direction for prosperity.
4. Home Office / Study Room
   • Place it in the north or east.
   • Use natural light, wooden furniture, and avoid clutter for improved concentration.
5. Lighting & Ventilation
   • Natural sunlight is the best energy source.
   • Keep windows clean and use warm lighting to enhance positivity.

❌ Don’ts for Interiors (Vastu Mistakes to Avoid)

1. Avoid Toilets in Northeast Corner – It can disturb the positive flow of energy.
2. No Dark Colors in Bedrooms – Deep black or red walls can create restlessness.
3. Avoid Clutter at Entrance – The main door should always be neat, clean, and well-lit.
4. No Mirrors Facing Bed – It’s believed to cause disturbed sleep and bad energy.
5. Don’t Place Heavy Furniture in the Center – Keep the Brahmasthan (center) of your home light and open.
